I feel for you, bro - in Burlington Vermont, the only liquor store near me (thankfully 2 doors down) closes at 11:30, and the bars close at 2! whatever

I'm in Burlington now, visiting a friend at NECI, and i got like a half gallon of Jim Beam in the freezer right now! You don't need late liquor stores in a college town, you just need late dorms!

I'm with lostarchitect; the concept of carry out bars is kind of baffling to me.

It's the same thing as going to a store to buy booze, but the stores usually close up a little earlier.

New Orleans has drive through daquiri shops. You can drive away with 64oz of your favorite flavor daquiri. My favorite was White Russian.

Pennsylvania is very conservative in the area of alcohol. Bars are only open to 2am. You can only buy beer and liquor (in stores) until 9pm, as all liquor is controlled and sold by the state, and sold in seperate stores from any beer. We do have six pack shops that are open after 9pm, and on Sundays, buy you're only allowed to carry out the equivalent of 16 beers at a time, due to state law. So if you're trying to buy for a party, it could take a while. Hey, we couldn't even buy liquor on Sundays until a few months ago, and there are only a couple of stores, state-wide that do this. Luckily I live 10 minutes from one.

I usually try to estimate my alcohol consumption for the night, based on what type of sports are on, or any friends coming over, and buy everything I think I'm going to need right after work.

So, Pennsylvania may be an awesome state, but man is it hard to stay drunk.
