i miss virtual reality

remember when virtual reality was going to change the world? when putting on a 40 pound headset was going to replicate the experience of visiting some of the most remote places of the earth? remember 'the lawnmower man'? remember when that shitty VR game came to your mall, when you shot the pebble at the pterodactyl? yeah, that kind of sucked. but still, the promise of VR ruled.

what was that movie where Sly Stallone and Sandra Bullock fucked VR style... that was funny. She handed him a towel and they were ready to "go at it" and he was like.. whaaa? no real sex. (cause he wasn't from the future..) and then she was all.. ew.. no exchange of body fluids dude.

oh, and all the restaurants we taco bell.

I played quake in virtual reality once. It was basically glasses with tvs in the lenses that sensed when i turned my head, and turned my head in the game.

Id definatly go for some of that futuristic, x-files style VR. ever see that episode where a VR supervillon was killing people in real life through the game.? It looked like fun.

you mean i'm not in VR right now? damnit. i thought it was 1994.

I also remember wasting a Christmas for a Power Glove.

VR is still around, hospitals here are using VR helmets to distract serious burn victims from their pain, seems to be working too.

I very well might be willing to kill a man for a Power Glove, lame as they may be.

I wish I could modify the nintendo light gun for real use. or just pellet use. how fucking cool would it be to die by that gun?
