The Museum of Modern Art has the Gambino crime family to thank for its recent renovation. All of the “stunningly white walls” behind the beautiful artwork was contracted to Interstate Drywall, a company with mob ties.

About 18 months ago, Interstate was hired by MoMA's prime contractor to put up walls throughout the Johnson building expansion, the original 11 W. 53rd St. building and a new office tower, museum officials said.

The revamped MoMA opened Nov. 21 to long lines despite upping its entrance fee from $12 to $20, making it the most expensive museum in town. […]

Last week, Michael (Mikey Scars) DiLeonardo, a Gambino captain turned informant, testified about the $100,000 payoff to Junior Gotti in 1996 when Interstate bought DiLeonardo's company, Metropolitan Stone, for $1.7 million.

Construction companies align themselves with mob families so they can get cheaper nonunion help on union jobs, and so they can intimidate other contractors from bidding against them for certain contracts, authorities say.

The News found that Interstate and two other allegedly mob-connected companies have been awarded more than $795 million in taxpayer-funded contracts in the last decade.

So far, no one has been found “bricked-in” behind any of the paintings.

Dude, pretending you know something about the mafia isn't going to convince anybody you're straight.
