Ok so i did a search on google and couldn't find anything of particular interest.

The thing is a housemate and i have been experiencing painful stomach cramps, funny 'toilet visits' and headaches. We don't eat any of the same things...in fact the only thing we have in common is drinking the tap water. We tried boiling it and then letting it cool and drink it but that doesn't seem to have improved anything.
Another reason i have to believe it is the water is the fact i never drink anything in the mornings and in the afternoon i grab a drink at university. But in late afternoon and evening i drink quite a bit of water from my home taps. Now this stomach problem with me always occurs in the mornings and improves during the day until i come home again.

So has anyone else ever experienced anything like this? or is it possibly just a bug and not the water?

I'm definately going to! I haven't drunk any of the tap water today and tomorrow i'm gonna go out and buy a load of bottled water because today my stomach was too off to go out!

I know some of those cruise ships had problems with their water and the Norwalk virus. Passengers were getting stomach problems and diarrhea from that. I don't know if this has any connection....

You should be able to purchase a filter to attach to the faucet so it cleans the water. Brita, perhaps?

If it goes away during the day, then recurrs the next morning after you drink more water, it likely isn't a virus or bacterium or anything like that. But it might be chemical/mineral contaminants in the water. Can you take a sample to one of the labs on campus and have them check it out? Or there might be city/county/whatever facilities for checking water quality.

This kind of thing can have serious long-term consequences, so it's very much worth checking it out.
