I need a few female perspectives on this. I wrecked my car and lost my license about a month ago. Ive been thinking about asking a girl out, except my lack of transportation is holding me back. How much would that actually effect my chances if she had to drive. I would pay for everything, but she would have to do the driving. Is that a big issure or not?

Honestly, to me, the lack of car is would not really be an issue, its the whole "loss of license" thing that would be the stickler for me, depending on why you lost it.

But thats just me.

I don't remember the last guy I dated who had a car....but if you have a car and the rims are more expensive than the ride itself, that would be an issue.

*edited* to say that rims are silly to begin with

in my carless experience it depends how far away from her you live, and how much she hates driving.

Well, my license was revoked for 9 months because I had a seizure while driving. This is what wrecked the car. I live about 5 miles from her and about 20 miles from the restaraunt. Its a very nice restaraunt though and she seems to like to drive, so maybe my chances are good.

My rims aren't quite more expensive than the car. With the newly rebuilt and ported engine, the car was probably worth $5000 before I bent the frame. Once I get that fixed, it'll still be close to that. The rims are $350 each so $1400. They're nice rims though.

Edit: picture was too wide

Cars only matter if the girl is shallow and vapid.

Oof. Sorry about the seizure. Michigan won't allow you to have a license if you are prone to seizures, so I've had to drive my friend to the store and whatnot while he works on adjusting to his meds. I sympathize. Not being able to drive sucks.

If I really like a guy and want to go out with him, I'm perfectly fine with driving. Sometimes, I prefer to drive. That's just the kind of control freak I am. wink

The bottom line: No, I don't care if he has a car or not. Everyone has different circumstances, and I'm not going to judge someone based on their possession (or lack) of a vehicle.

When I get my car fixed she can drive it all she wants. Though that means she will have to learn to drive a standard. Excellent wink

youre in much, much better shape than you would be if you had been wasted. i would even say that it will help becuase you can say the only reason you need her to take you out is because you swerved to avoid a puppy and had a seizure.

What do you mean by better? I drive a 2005 Civic Hybrid, so I feel my car may be economically, and perhaps morally, superior to yours. Would that count? tongue
