Maybe it's just my asshole instinct to say this out loud, but....the pretention of the "burlesque" thing irritates me. Stripper. Strip clubs/shows. Plain and simple. Calling it a fancy name doesn't change what it is.

I do not now, nor have I ever, found anything about old burlesque attractive, erotic, or entertaining.

And Dita did not look that good in her playboy shoot. I dontk now if it was just those set of photos. But she appeared to have the most obvious fake boob job. Not that there is anything wrong with a boob job. But I did not find hers attractive.

A DVD series of my striptease acts is being released this winter, along with a re-release with bonus footage of the 1930's style bondage serial Dita in Distress.
My book "The Art of the Teese" will be out spring 2005, and my pinup style cookbook also published with Harper-Collins is due for publication in fall 2005.

Mmmm....burlesque is just stripping? Yeah, right. You have the audacity to not even know that Dita hardly ever strips in her shows and you're also slagging off the SG girls into the bargain. Seems to me like you described your ways perfectly.

Don't start with that arguement. If you want to see burlesque as 'just strippin' then fine but a lot of people won't agree with you. Just like SG is not 'just porn'.
