Hey all I'm a 'nOOb' as you put it. I do not do well with first impressions and I may have started out the wrong way in the first place, won't be the first time.
I have posted a couple of threads that may have offended or disturbed.
"have you ever been kicked out"-"Ladies preference c or p" and one or two others.

General introduction 34 yo WM- a cop in Miami looking to relocate to the west coast. I was an art and sociology major at a local university that sucks.
In art I focused on photography and sculpture mostly steel.

I thought the best way for you to get to know me would be to answer questions about myself. It may not be original but it works well. I know i am opening myself up for the feeding frenzy but i have thick skin. So i will get the first ones out of the way."who gives a shit"- "who the hell are you" blah blah blah

Follow-up question.
So its just the phone-book do you use a nightstick with it?
I've heard different versions...just wanted to hear from the pros.

I think we should legalize everything and put the money spent on the "war on drugs" into education and health.

I also believe we should make penalties tougher for DUI

Good one...OK, I'm in w/ this as well...

Also, "concealed carry licenses", your thoughts?

I support educated and mature weapons owners. I support concealed licenses
but once again support more severe punishment for violent offenders.

do you feel obligated to enforce the letter of the law, or do you give out a lot of warnings?

I try and give warnings. I do not really like taking a guy to jail for a nickel bag, especially if he has never been arrested, But if he is driving stoned an has the potential to hurt someone else. I look for everything i can find even the silly stuff like not changing his address on his license.

Who defines who is, "educated and mature"?

Educated and mature is pretty broad. In the state of Florida you can get a concealed weapons permit even if you have been arrested for armed robbery or aggrevated battery as long as you have not been convicted. They government talks about loop holes. that seems to be a pretty big one.
I would say those are uneducated and immature people.

Sorry for any misspellings everybody.

I'm glad to hear some of the guys walking around with guns and cuffs on their hips have a good measure of common sense. wink
