anita blake vampire hunter

has anyone else on this site read these books?
if you have, just what do you think of anita blake and the direction she is heading

my personal feelings

that she basically rocks and kicks ass, but that is too general and easy to say.
i like the fact that she is becoming more at ease (is that the right word?) with herself and all the things that has happened to her. the sex is good but perhaps it is getting a bit excessive. plus her powers have grown exponetially as, but she really doesn't use them ( lack of knowledge i guess ). eh, i rambling what does everybody else think?

ive read them.
read most of them back when i was in highschool, but more recently read alot of the newer ones. I very much enjoyed them, but then a power weilding gun toting petitie woman kicking the ass of the undead, when she isnt sleeping with them, pretty much embodies my notion of an idol

I've got all her Anita Blake books and all her Meredith Gentry books. good reads. although I preferred Anita Blake when she was the butt kicking scourge of the undead. now its getting more complicated and interesting. but do wish for a good book with Edward and kicking butt, instead of the complicated intrigue she has now. but that's just my opinion.

I love the anita blake books but she is having too much sex. It wouldnt be too bad is she had been having sex in the begining, even if it was just with one person in the 3rd or 4th book, but for her to be not have any sex at the begining and be so prudish then turn around and hump everything that walks is silly. Yeah i know why she is doing it but she had self control, she could have masturbated. :p
the books are still awsome i just wish LKH could have kept the rabbit sex in the MG series. More ass kicking, less ass licking.

My thought on Anita Blake:

Her early books kick ass
the killing dance was the beginning of the end
Obsidian Butterfly was great
I gave up after reading Cerulean Sins

I used to really like these books, now I HATE the main character.

Same here. Really liked the early stuff, but after she started sleeping with pretty much every major player in the city (supernaturally speaking)... nah.

Nathanial made me want to be a submissive, i love him
