their first cd was mostly crap, which is why it's so surprising that the new one is so fucking good. i barely even hear the main singer's vocals anymore though. it's all about the guitar and the drummer.

Alex is a way better screamer now then when Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses first came out. The Curse is probably my favorite '04 release...I listen to it at least 3 or 4 times a week.

Anyway, I loved the interview..and um, Atreyu kicks ass.

I'm trying desperately to find someone to go see them with on their UK tour, no one else I know likes them, hell, no one else I know has heard of them. I caught the track 'Right Side of the Bed' on Kerrang TV and I was righly impressed, checked out some other stuff online and I'm off to buy their back catalogue when i get paid next.

As bad as their music is, Atreyu was pretty energetic at 9:30 AM when they opened the second stage at Ozzfest. I'll give them credit for that.

And this dude comes off as a dick in the interview.

It's hard for me to take these guys seriously. Being a musician that performs pretty frequently, I know what it's like to be heckled, but to spit on somebody is fucking gross. What a douche bag.

That cover blew me away, it's fucking immense.

fucking atreyu is amazing!! i think the curse is one of the best albums of the year by far!

Varkatzas always comes off as a prick in interviews and I think it's funny that the only good singing is done by the band's drummer (I'm not against hardcore vocals, just his). DRE, usually a commanding and interested interviewer, seemed to have a hard time talking to him. It reminded me of when you meet a friend of a friend at a party, they corner you, talk about the boringest shit in the world, and you you just have to let them do it, all the while adding a, "Uh huh, how did that hppen?" follow up question here and there to pretend like you're listening.

atreyu fuckin rocks... don't know if i haven't been payin attention to tour dates, but they need to come down to the central coast øf CA. fuck, not that i wanna be spit on, but i think it would be a kick ass show. i love their blend of melodies, punk, and metal. i was hooked when i first heard their stuff.

yeah, i can totally shake my ass to the new atreyu record. it's catchy as shit.

Bought The Curse the other day, love it, fucking awesome album. I just need to find a record store with their other stuff.
