I like the idea of Dougray Scott as Bond

ewan could pull it off with some pretty massive storyline changes. he'd make a perfect bond-in-training.

Padawan-Bond?

the more I think about it, the better a run of prequels starring ewan macgregor sounds! bond fanatics would shit themselves in rage.

Another opportunity for Hugh Jackman to steal a role out from under his bitch, Dougray Scott!

I'm telling you, Jackman is going to drive Scott to suicide. Just you wait and see.

I would really like to see Clive Owen be Bond.

Im with you guys. He has the right persona for it, the others on that list just dont
feel like a Bond.

clive owen has said publicly, many times, he has no interest in being bond. he doesn't like bond movies at all. he has also said he's developing a "real" spy movie with francis ford copolla. i'm thinking somewhere in between the bourne identity and the conversation.

the only person that should be allowed enar bond at the moment is tarantino. didn't they hear him say he'd direct a bond movie, for about 1/20th of what they normally pay for one?

He did, but he was in talks with Pierce Brosnan (who wanted it to be his last Bond film) and it was just an idea they were throwing around. They both wanted to do it, but apparently everyone else had no interest. It was going to be "Casino Royale," and, since it was based on a book, a return to the story-driven Bonds of old.

By the way, I don't care what anyone says, Brosnan was the best Bond since Connery. Like, by a longshot. Sure, the movies he was in were pretty much varying degrees of suck, but I really didn't see that as having anything to do with him.

Oh, and another note: if Bond could be American, George Clooney would be just fucking awesome. I've always seen him as a total throwback to the charisma of the old movie icons like Cary Grant and Clark Gable, which is exactly what Bond needs. Unfortunately, Bond is English and I don't think Clooney would be believable with an English accent. Let's face it, Americans more often than not fuck those accents up.

Eh, after the last Bond movie, I couldn't care less. What a pile of crap that was.

Owen would be fucking brilliant. It's a shame his breakthrough role - in the mainstream, anyway - was in that abhorrent mess Arthur.

Jackman would do very well as well, hopefully helping to burn the memory of Australia's last bond from the collective consciousness.

Colin Farrell - Hell no, he just doesn't look or feel like a Bond.
Dougray Scott - Who? *IMDBs the name* Who?
Hugh Jackman - Yeah, ummm...no. Just no.
Ewan McGregor - No offense to him, but he doesn't have the Bond look IMO. He's a great actor and could definately do the part, but I don't know if I'd be able to separate him from his previous roles as I watched it.
Clive Owens - I had no idea who this guy was either, and so I IMDB'd him and looking at his photos...I'd much much much rather see him as a returning Bond VILLAIN than as Bond himself.

Now, in my honest opinion, Carey Elwes could do an amazing bond, 10 years ago. Back when he was looking like Robin Hood in Men in Tights, or as Westley in The Princess Bride (I know that was more than 10 years ago). It looks as if his skull grew since those times, and his jaw and head looks bigger now. I would like to see him get a shot at it though.

Not a bad choice. I've never seen him do anything with real weight to it though, so I would wonder if he could bring the gravity necessary in my eyes to someone with a '00' license.

If he takes the part, it would be the worst choice Ewan McGregor made since signing on to those horrid Star Wars movies. puke
