Bookmakers William Hill have released the odds of who will be the next “James Bond” following Pierce Bronson departure. Topping the list: Ewan McGregor, Dougray Scott, Colin Farrell, and Hugh Jackman.

William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams said he fancied McGregor and Scott's chances, adding: "The public love a Scot. In the past Sean Connery has come top in people's favourite Bond and that can only help the chances of Ewan McGregor and Dougray Scott.

"Dougray Scott appears to be Scotland's choice and if he gets the call-up punters will be queuing all over Edinburgh and Glasgow."

Also, Eminem’s chances of being Bond: 100/1.

Ewan McGregor is too young, Colin Farrel is more of a bond villan, as for the other two im not sure they have that bond touch......i hate to say it but i think Cloony should be given a go, he did ok playing the playboy in batman and he was great in oceans 11 but thats just my opinion smile

ewan could pull it off with some pretty massive storyline changes. he'd make a perfect bond-in-training.

And William Hill are also saying that (now disagraced) fop MP Boris Johnson of 500-1. I'd take that bet.

Hugh Jackman? As Bond?
*spooge*

The rest are either too young, too rough, or just not sexy enough.
Connery was still the best..sighhhhh....

my first thought was jackman, as well, reading that list. he has range, sex and style. he could pull of the Connery-style Bond that i preferred.. one that has more than cardboard depth & a natural-feeling refined + used to the job personality.

..more than can be said for Pierce Bronson's (sp?) portrayal. man, was he flat as Bond.

Has to be clive owen. He was great in the BMW short movies. He was a driver for people (read high speed, get-a-way type of thing) and was basically a bond character

yup

he's a british spy, so he has to be british, look at teh one george lasanby film puke

can you imagin, it has to be a british actor, i think Colin Farrell whould be best, he's not to high profile like Ewan McGregor, you'd watch him thinking bond you'd watch Ewan thinking Trainspotting

I say give it to Johnny Depp. Sure, he may not fit the part at all, but the man's played Hunter S. Thompson, a pirate, and now Willy Wonka. The man can be whoever the fuck he wants.

In fact, fuck convention, Johnny Depp needs to play 007, aaaand the villain. Also moneypenny.

I agree, I think Clooney would be a good choice. When Fleming was writing Bond, he imagined Cary Grant. Clooney has a lot of Grant's charm ( and pulls what seems to be an uncanny Grant in "Intolerable Cruelty" ). He also has a dark edge when he wants to bring it out, as in "The Peacemaker."

I'd pay to see Boris Johnson,l I love that guy. BORIS FOR KING! he'd massacre the roll of bond, but 22 odd films is enough anyway...

Just stop making Bond films please....

Just stop. They're two hour long shitty commercials for every car, soda, watch, electric razor, airline, alcohol or makeup they can cram into them.

Move on.

I think I read somewhere that Colin Farrell is on record saying he would NOT be interested in playing James Bond.

However, I would pay good money to see WILL FERRELL as Bond.
