Spitting: hot or not?

See, I thought this would be a no brainer. Gobbing = bad, obviously. But it seems that many people enjoy hawking up a lump of phlegm and hocking that loogie out there. Sometimes they'll try to justify it: "He's not disabled yet he's in the disabled bay! {hrhrhrgggggg-----phttt}". Or sometimes it's to show appreciation.

So, I ask you: Gobbing, hot or not?

Well, since I spit, and everyting I do is hot without any error on my part. I say hot.

I guess you exclude grammar from the things you do without any error.

i guess it depends where, when and what youre spitting to have it be considered hot

spitting is vile. Unless you're in China where everybody does it. But here in the US if a gentlman spits in public it is a sign of his low breeding and his prospects of marrying ointo a good family are few. And a lady of any breeding, should never spit!!

I remember the old punk gigs, never got into the gobbing bit though.
Felt sorry for some of the bands, some didn't seem to mind, but some did.

If your ill and you've got to get it out, it's just about acceptable, still unpleasant.

NOT hot at all. I can't stand guys that spit on the street etc. What is with that? Do boys produce more saliva than girls or something? I hate when I sit down at a bus stop (or when in various other public spaces) and look down to discover a big blob of phlegm and spit near my foot
