My own cult. I m looking into it.

Although it will be different not a cult of religon more of ideas ( if there is a difference)

eg
commadments
1) Listen to your instincts
2)Treat people the way you want to be treated

Those are of course very early ideas.
But if you want to be part of something go on join. What have you got to lose?

Erm ... I believe in both of those values ... but I don't believe in cults.

Does that make me automatically banned from ever joining?

Having been in a cult, I gotta say, it kinda screws up your resume. Work experience? Ummm, brainwashing the masses?

Edit to add - I may have had a future as President that way.

they already have that cult. it's called satanism.

no, seriously.

"The Eleven Satanic Rules of the Earth

by Anton Szandor LaVey ©1967

1. Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked.

2. Do not tell your troubles to others unless you are sure they want to hear them.

3. When in another’s lair, show him respect or else do not go there.

4. If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy.

5. Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal.

6. Do not take that which does not belong to you unless it is a burden to the other person and he cries out to be relieved.

7. Acknowledge the power of magic if you have employed it successfully to obtain your desires. If you deny the power of magic after having called upon it with success, you will lose all you have obtained.

8. Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself.

9. Do not harm little children.

10. Do not kill non-human animals unless you are attacked or for your food.

11. When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him."

cults are way lame... just live your life the way you want, and if you can't make friends with people who think differently than you, that's your problem.

No my cult shall have positive benefit for all man kind. I would not use my power as cult leader for evil. Only for good. Mistakesmade is on the right track when she said commadment 3 everything happens for a reason.

Thats the sort of values I want.

A cult made by people for people.

So please give me your guide lines/commadments and perhaps i lll use them. I need 11 .Dont as why we have some considered so let me know.

You have the choice to influence something that might be bigger than you. So please try and think hard.

If it starts I persoanlly swear to live the rules as all true MEMBERS must. Like I said it s not about religion it s about ideas!!.

dude! do something worth while with your life... this won't work. we've got enough rules as it is. even if your rules are completely logical and rational, we don't need anymore. nothing good has ever come out of cult mentality, even if the initial intentions were good. the very idea of a cult is foolish. find people with simialr hobbies as yourself, then start a club. club=good, cult=not good!
