I was brought up in a single parent family by my mother. She was very good as a parent and I learnt many good things from her, one of which was how to cook.

Having just had a very nice, home cooked lunch, I am gland of what she taught me.

What do you owe thanks for to your parents? (apart from the obvious one of your presence)

When I was very young my father taught me every good and just thing I know about what it means to be both a person and more specifically a man.

Then later in life he also taught me, by his example, what it meant to do truly horrible, unjust, and cruel things.

I owe my father everything that I am, both good and bad.

I owe my parents everything. For raising me and my brother with unconditional love, no matter how many times we fucked up. For helping me when I needed help and letting me figure things out when they knew I could do it on my own. For never judging us because of how we looked or the weird things we did to ourselves. For having the courage and the patience to adopt us in the first place. For being role models of love, hard work, and maturity. For being my role models at all.

Parents. I really only have a mother as my dad thinks the only reason he's in the family is to supply money, other than that he hates me. My mother though is one of the coolest people I know. If I've learned anything from my parents it's to never get into debt.

I owe my parnts independance, they tought me how to be able to live on my own and stand up for myself. I see all these guys I went to school with that never learned that and had to get married to the first girl that would fill in as "mommy" for them.

My parents taught me how to drink like a fish! Not sure if that is good or bad. Also to appreciate the music of Johnny Cash and how to cook killer curries.

Same here...plus my dad taught me how to shake hands like an adult!! Not that dead fish squishy hand shake that even 300pound football players give sometimes..BAH!! I hate that.

hell yeah, I hate wimpy ass handshakes, thats one of the first things I can remember my dad teaching me after I was in elementary school, and every time I met someone, all the way till I was outsized enough where they expected a good grip, they always commented on it.
My mom taught me to cook, which is awesome, and my dad taught me to be a good man, in all aspects of life, which is probably the most important thing I've ever learned.

I owe my Mum everything, she is my best friend and the most awesomest lady. She bought me and my Sis up on her own and still managed to be the hottest Mama in town. She is also a pain in the ass.

I owe my Dad nothing, I love him but he hasn't been around much. He has given me 100% pure love and for that I owe him thanks, I also owe my height and hair to him, which is handy!
