Sometimes I just want someone to cook me a homemade meal. But it never happens.

Even though this is a sad thought, I still feel ridiculously awesome.

How odd.

Could one ever cook a meal that was not homemade?

The closest thing to homemade that I have seen lately is my frozen Amy's burritos. Very yummy though.

I accept.

You buy the materials and show up.

Hell, maybe we can get my roommate to do it! She's practically a gourmet chef. She already said she'd make me and TheRedBaron a pie if we get the ingredients.

I've decided to cook a goose for christmas this year. I'm pretty excited about it. I've never had goose before. I also found this excellent ghiradelli truffles recipe that I'm going to try.

I'm sooo hungry, but I don't have much to eat here. I guess I'll go eat some applesauce and left-over pasta.

i just saw a Barefoot Contessa episode on Food Network where she cooked ducks. She did a trick though that I had not seen. She poached them in stock first to slowly render out all the fat under the skin. (poke them first) then bake them for that awesome crisp skin. looked so easy (it seems like a lot of times people are intimdated by cooking duck)

dude, I have the saddest story about that movie. I rented it from netflix and watched it one day, and I was all crying at the end cause I'm a pussy, and I was like...I wanna call my mommy. and so I did, and then she proceeds to tell me that she doesn't want to come here for christmas this year, and I was like...........

::bursts into tears::

and I cried for like an hour. cause I've never had a christmas apart from my immediate family.

then my mom felt really bad and now not only is she coming for xmas, she is flying my sister and her girlfriend (infornography and Isadora) out for the holiday as well.

biggrin

so I guess it's a happy story after all. now I will cook a goose for all of us to enjoy.
