I need some help here. Ok, ever since about 9th grade, I have spiked my hair, or just had the messy look. This past spring, I shaved it all off, and kept doing so up until early September. Now that my hair is getting longer, and I am getting older, I know there must be a better hairstyle for me than the spiked/messy look. Also, if you could give me some advice as to what kind of clothes to buy (I'm roughly 6ft. 245 pounds, thick build). All I have are jeans and band tshirts, and I need to find something better so people can take me seriously. Any help would be immensely appreciated! thanks!

Oh, here's a pic of me with my semi caucasion 'fro going on.

I do wear a hat, but you know, sometimes they just aren't appropriate

Seriously, I'm all for shaving it off. And I'm also against relying on lovely accessories such as hats, in princible.

Lose the jeans, get some slacks. Buy a few decent dress shirts. Wear a band shirt over a dress shirt. You keep the rock and roll aesthetic, but the collar gives you a more trendy, clean look. People will not only take you more seriously, but will also complement your fashion sense and envy your cool.

Or at least, that's been my experience.

You look like an urban outfitters kinda guy. They are expensive, so check out the sales on the website.

My hair gets curly and wavy as it gets longer, so idk about slicking it back.

You're never too old for pointy hair. I hope you didn't throw out your glue or whatever you were using.

ok you need to grow it longer, dye it dark brown and get a nice james dean wave goin on, a rockabily look! You will need to invest in a hair drier and posibly a roll brush!

So far, that seems to sound like a good idea.

Get your measurements taken and memorize them. Learn what it feels like to wear clothes that were made to fit your specific dimensions, and look for the same kind of fit when you're stuck choosing between S, M, and L.

And "sportcoat" is a magical word.

I do not recommend getting a cut that requires a brush in combination with a dryer. They are soooooooo frustrating.

Color it darker. Dark brown. Go to a salon and have them do it right for you or have a friend who always looks good do it for you. The curl thing is ok, if it was darker and the eyebrows tamed and darkened to match. I'd say just color and get a trim on that bad boy and you'll be doing ok. Spikey is cool again so you can do that too.
I like the slacks and dress shirt thing. Macy's has great sales in the men's section a lot and if you can find a helpful stylish sales person you'll be doing ok.

I see nothing wrong with shaved or semi-spiked hair. Guy hair should not be high maintenance. Also, please do not wear a tshirt over a dress shirt. That is all.

Fuck dude, tame those eyebrows. I also vote shave the head again. Your hairline starts too far back for anything else I can think of.

Hola amigo. Tu necesita una guayabera. Check the prices though.

You can wear them with jeans and slacks. They are good for your build, and where you're at, a little latin flavor never hurt anyone. The old men wear the white ones so go for good designs on black or brown, occasionally maroon.
They are dressy and casual at the same time. Like I'm on vacation bitch, and I look good at the same time kinda shit.
