Can I get out of this parking ticket?

So, aparently you can't park near a crosswalk, even though you aren't in it, you aren't on yellow curb, and the crosswalk isn't marked. I got a parking ticket for it, but the make of the car listed is wrong. They got the color and licence correct though.
It's only eight dollars, so I won't want to be spending much time on it, but I'm still wondering.

You can't get out of it based on an incorrect make. Pay the 8 bucks and don't park there again.

But they made up the offense. Yes, if you have the time, fight it. If not, like you said, its only $8.

Isn't there a specific distance that you have to maintain when parking near a crosswalk?

fight it. take pictures of the fact that there is no lines drawn on the street,. bring them to court.

How much do you value your time? Is it worth 8 bucks to go through all the trouble of fighting it?

Tickets here run about 40- 50 bucks. Those, i'll fight. I'm not taking a day off work for an eight dollar ticket...especially since it'll probably cost me more than 8 bucks to park, to fight the ticket.
