Just watched it (original japanese version) and out of interest who is shit scared of the kid in this, without him in it I don't think it would have been half as scary. Must be a male thing, kids = commitment = scary

It was awful. I kept hoping Mike Nelson and his robot friends would pop up in the foreground and say something distracting. Typical 'kaidan' but its too much of a laugh riot to be truly disturbing.

No I was just commenting on your complete lack of punctuation, which made my eyes go numb. The original is good, it's not 'great' persay, the director is certainly not Japan's golden boy, there are better movies like Gozu, Electric Dragon 80.000 V, Bright Future.

Also, to the person above, he was talking about the original, not the remake. I'm not going to see a remake of a perfectly decent Japanese movie that probably translates crap into Amerikanese...

Me too mate I always like to watch the originals before the CGI remakes, that are apparently better.

The american version of the ring was scary, but only because someone actually let them butcher it :S.

I don't know about the original but the remake was awful.

no he doesn't meow in the original, there's a cat to do that for him.
