The women's race was won by another Kiwi. 24 year old Dione Carter from Auckland charged down the hill and was first to cross the winning line. She was overjoyed at winning the 9lb Double Gloucester cheese and revealed the secret of her success:

"I had a few drinks before the event and it obviously boosted the confidence if you know what I mean!"

And you would need a drink after seeing this view...
