Don't wear them to work unless you work in a bar and don't wear them to someone else's wedding. Other than that you're good, provided you can accept that you may get remarks you don't care to hear from people who are stupid and or horny/ugly.

i like your advice. i don't mind getting stupid moronic comments when stuff is, you know, a little much. but i don't even know if this is way over-the-top incedent offensive whore-dom. i'll just wait for my boyfriend to pick me up and then ask him if he would be embarassed to be seen with me because he would look like a john. that will be my answer i suppose. haha.

I don't think it's an inappropriate look. Unless the skirt is one of those pleated ruffled ones that look like they were part of an eighties prom dress. Goddamn I hate those.
Otherwise, I think it's an awesome look. But this is coming from a guy whose typical look is jeans and a jean jacket, aka a "jersey tuxedo". So take this for what's it's worth.

i cut all my normal tights off at the top and wear them with a garter belt. it's more comfy that way. but then, most of my skirts are pretty long. however, if i had fantastic legs and a nice ass (both, since i do have a nice ass) i would certainly wear short skirts with stockings like that. you might look a little slutty, if by slutty you mean awsome...
