We came back from our holiday in the mountains (clear and sunny) back to our place (closer to the coast) and found a impenetrable 4 inch combination of snow and ice on our steep-assed driveway.

And yeah, it'll be in the 60's tomorrow. Gotta love North Carolina weather.

It was raining last night, and I decided to turn on the hot tub and take a dip. Marvelous hot, bubbling water while cool rain drops on my face. So it was acid rain, who cares? smile

There was a geyser about four feet tall and two feet in diameter coming out of the storm drain last night. And I think they just did a whole bunch of work on them. We are so not ready for this as a city.

Yet it makes me so friggin happy.

I was awoken early this morning by the loudest, window rattling clap of thunder I've ever heard. I assumed someone, somewhere had to be dead. Then I went back to sleep.

Here in sherwood forest, england, we've had warnings of severe gales likely to cause structural damage. These kind of weather alerts don't occur much in the UK. But, when they do, what are we supposed to do anyway?

Any smart advice?
