Scorpio loves privacy, but this month you may crawl into your cozy cocoon and refuse to come out. With an eclipse joining a cluster of planets in your twelfth house on October 13, you will yearn to go off by yourself for peace and quiet, and you may scoff at mixing and mingling with friends in favor of sorting out some of life's mysteries. Good idea, dear Scorpio. There is plenty to be gained from getting in touch with your core.

Scorpios are secretive as it is, so friends won't assume that anything is amiss. That could be a drawback, however, as they may not come to check on you if you are feeling worn out and blue. If you have something that is troubling you, it really would be a perfect time to share it with a friend, parent or professional therapist. Scorpio tends to reflect in silence, but sometimes you get tangled in your own yarn. Reach out to someone you trust if you need some moral support. (I am not saying you will need to do so, but if you do.)

This house is considered a perfect house for planning major moves, so is equally possible that you simply want some quiet time to organize and reprioritize your goals. In that case, the silence of solitude will be golden. You will have Jupiter (luck), Mercury (news), Mars (energy), the Sun (strength of purpose) and a new moon solar eclipse in your twelfth house. That is a LOT of energy in your subconscious sector!

The twelfth house governs strategic thinking, so perhaps you will be asked to map out a plan for a highly confidential project you will begin soon. So secret is this project that even you will be asked to sign confidentiality papers promising not divulge any details about it to anyone, for a whole variety of reasons.

This sector rules confinement, too, so it is also possible that someone dear to you may be in the hospital, a nursing home, rehabilitation center or even in prison. (I never used to include prison in my descriptions, but the ancients did, so I guess I should, too.) If so, you will need to clear your schedule to give this person your time and full attention.

It is alternatively possible that you will go in for a medical or dental procedure or surgery this month. If so, Jupiter will support your every move. If you have to be in the hospital, having Jupiter along would make a world of difference. While you will be protected in these matters over the next thirteen months, this month will be extra special because you will have so many other planets' support in that house. As long as you believe in your doctor, you'll be halfway there.

There are more pluses to this month's star power. Many people report exceptional productivity when there is a buildup of planetary energy in this very private part of the chart. If you feel like withdrawing to hunker down on a big project, do so, for you will have much to be proud of later. Certainly your subconscious will make all kinds of creative associations and connections you might never make at other times. If you have a book to write or a thesis to research, this month would be ideal for getting a lot of work done.

Some were hard-we had very little to go on and we had to say clearly whatever came to us. There were all kinds of tests, and most of us discovered we had much more psychic ability than we ever realized. Scorpios are deep, intense and mystical people with knowledge far beyond what they "should" know-their internal radar picks up so much information. You of all signs have the ability to take your hunches and intuition to a very high level. If your intuition is dormant, encourage its expression this month.

There will be another eclipse in October, and this one will affect you more powerfully than the first. It will be a full moon lunar eclipse in your opposite sign of Taurus on October 27. Relationships have not been easy for Scorpio in the past year. This month's lunar eclipse on October 27 may bring another chapter in this relationship turmoil. If you have been stuck in a dynamic where you break up, come together, break up and never seem to be able to resolve things, this eclipse may be the final chapter in a long saga.

If you are in love but simply have had problems over the past few months, this eclipse will bring your closer and give you a chance to talk things over and clear the air.

Your fourth house of home appears to be involved in talks, but there are several ways that could work out. It may be that your family doesn't like your significant other and although you might usually defend your partner to them, at this full moon you may see the same disturbing characteristics they do. In that case, a final breakup between you and your partner may not be far behind. Go slowly. A knee jerk reaction toward family or your partner would not be the right response. Keep your ears and mind open, as the eclipse will bring a "Eureka!" moment that explains everything.

At the same time, it is possible that you won't agree with your family, and will rightly defend your partner. In that case, family would be the problem, not your partner. It's hard to tell by your chart even though I have meditated about this for a long time.

If it is not your family then it's the home or a piece of property that is the linchpin to this situation. A real estate matter could be hard to resolve. Perhaps you are living together and one of you needs to move out. Maybe you are divorcing and need to figure out whether to sell the house and split the proceeds.

Still, as tough as this full moon eclipse might be, it will have one shining aspect. Uranus, the planet of surprise based in your fifth house of true love and children, will be beautifully angled to the Sun and moon. Either you will find that you truly love your partner or, if you have children, they will bring extra special blessings at this time.

This eclipse will be the last in a long series: November 19, 2002, May 15, 2003, November 8, 2003, and May 4, 2004. Think about these days and see if any of them stand out in your mind. Sometimes it's easy to forget what happens, but if you have a calendar or can check back to old email, you may find out what you were doing at that time.

Keep in mind that the house so lit up, your seventh house, also rules important contractual relationships, so the subject of this eclipse may be a business partner instead of a spouse or a long-term lover. As well as that, this governs what the ancients called "open enemies," so it could be a detractor or competitor, too. Most people feel this in terms of personal relationships, but not all-see how this applies to your life. If you were not born near October 27, chances are you already felt the outcome of this eclipse series earlier, on or near one of the dates mentioned.

Your best date nights this month will include: Thursday, October 14, and Friday, October 15, and the weekend of October 23-24.

This eclipse will work in your favor even if you have to go through a process to get to the other side of the river!
