teaser for 'the ring 2' hits the net

Stop taking yourself so seriously.

I like this trailer better than the other one floating around. Actually looks like it might be a good movie, though it looks like it has some typicall sequal corn-ball moments.

This site and specifically this message board bother me, though. I hate it when they try to pass things off as real. It's what ruined the Blair Witch Project for me.

Edit: Oh, I almost forgot this. Why did they change the tape? This one is just laaame.

The Ring scared the shit out of me. Not because it was a scary movie, but I used to have a TV that would turn on randomly to static. It was fucking scary even before I saw the Ring. Also I have OCD and I have a weird compulsion to be out of the room my computer is in before it finishes shutting down, and if I'm not something horrible will happen. After I saw the Ring my mind started associating the little ring girl comming out of the TV with that. Yeah, I'm crazy, whatever.

The Ring was the first horror movie to scare the fuck out of me. I NEVER scare during horror films (I'm always laughing), but that movie. *shudder* It wasn't as bad the next few times, but I couldn't sleep for a week after the first viewing.

Oh yeah. No sleep for Sorcha. The scene with her climbing out of the well? Yeah... not cool.

NOT COOL.

The first one gave me this strange fear of shower curtains. I'm always afraid that she'll be waiting behind them, standing in the shower, so I often keep mine open.

Strangely, I've talked to a few of my friends who have seen the movie, and the same thing happened to them. I mean...there wasn't even a scene like that in the movie. It's strange how a film can fuck with you like that.

the ring scared me a lot more because of where i lived. our yard was set up like the end shot with the well and forest. and after i saw the movie it was raining and somewhat dark. i didn't want to get out of the car.

Heh. Same here. Sometimes, when my hair is wet, I'll let it all hang forward and do that jerking walk. It scares my roommate.

I am now starting on my terror project that involves me leaving random copies of the "tape" all over the place.....

omg that would scare the shit out of me if i found one of those tapes... after i came out of the movie theater my brother called me (with his unavailable #) and in that creepy ass voice said 7 days then hung up... yeah i didnt sleep that night...

that happened at some big west coast geek con several years ago, just before the release of 'the ring'. hundreds of unlabeled videotapes were left on the hoods of peoples cars in the parking lot of the con, containing 'the video'. they're on ebay sometimes for around $20-$30
