RJD2 is being touted as the next big thing in many different magazines. For once in music history this statement actually means something because RJD2 is fucking amazing. His beats and samples are so tight that if his new album, Since We Last Spoke, was a bed you’d be able to bounce a quarter seven leagues into the air from it. Originally from Ohio, RJD2 debuted as a member of Mhz and in 2000, he signed to Definite Jux as a solo artist.

I just saw him a few months ago in Philly. His live show is awesome, as are his albums and mixes. "Your Face or Your Kneecaps" is ridiculoid!

since we last spoke was a good album, im not going to blame a dude for wanting to branch out a little. I prefer his hip hop stuff but i can appreciate his other shit. If you don't want overdone listen to vadim, doesn't get less overdone than that.

I saw RJD2 in Dublin's POD club in 2002 and it was just an awesome set he played - I will never forget! I love all the Jukies out there.

Seems like this thread is a bit old, but it was at the top of the list.

I loved Deadringer and Since We Last Spoke. The Soul Position stuff, that Aceyalone album and the mixtapes are all great.

But I HATE the third hand. I guess I was just expecting something else (something good). that was an album i actually pre-ordered. i dont know if it was just the fact that it wasn't hip hop djing, but there is only 1 or 2 tracks on the entire thing that are even worth a second listning.

Outside of that I have seen him live a few times and he does put on a great show.

You absolute legend. I would be well hyper if I met him. Haha no tact when it comes to meeting dj's.
I first heard the Horror in 2003, it's awesome.

I well didn't realise he had been interviewed on here!
