Sweet DVD finds

Alright, I depressed myself with the DVDs I CAN'T have. So now lets here some of the cool ones you've run across.

I was happy to find the Pink Panther collection. Shocked as shit to see the Alex Cox collection, Hell Comes to Frogtown, and a Boy and His Dog. And I saved some cash by getting The Fly and Return of the Fly together for only 9 bucks.

What DVD secrets are you hiding?

I just plain old found Tampopo in my room. Asked around, and it wasn't anyone's. So I got a completely random (and free) tampopo.

The three-disc collection of Brazil. Yum.

Some others that I treasure are the two-disc version of Fight Club, the Criterion release of Naked Lunch and the Masterworks version of Ran. (I'm looking forward to getting the the Criterion releases of Slacker and Videodrome, too. I wonder if I really need to eat this month....)

I found the Criterion version of Sparticus at Hastings used for $12. I couldn't believe it.

Rushmore for £2 in a charity shop.

Brother from Another Planet for five dollars.

Battle Royale special edition in aluminum case

Whaaaa?? Where'd you get that? I have the special edition, but not in a fancy case!

I found Neverwhere by neil gamen on dvd, apparently a miniseries was done in the uk of it, I was very pleasantly surprised to find it.

Kill Bill Vol. 1 Japanese Cut (full gore)

Found some $1 DVD's at Walmart.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space - I got it for $9 when it first came out on DVD.

I also recently picked up Jawbreaker for $6.99 at Best Buy.

They got em at the $0.99 cent store over here. I got His Girl Friday, some epidodes of "The Rifleman", Beat the Devil and some Max Fleicher Superman cartoons.

here's my "doh" of the day. i found 'braindead' (the original peter jackson version completely unedited, with 7 more minutes of footage than the unrated american version) at virgin megastore for $12.99. i told myself i'd come back later and buy it. of course, i have never seen it again. ever.

I found Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal in a two pack for $10 new

i got 'cabin boy' at the bottom of the $3.99 bin at wal mart once.
