i agree with jason. not that i'm an expert on new york, but
-you have to wear comfortable shoes. you will walk more than you ever thought possible.
-I fucking hated Times Square and Ground Zero. Both places are a panic attack waiting to happen and I felt disrespectful and sad standing in a place where a ton of people were killed that is now a tourist trap.
-Wander around the Lower East Side at night for cool bars. Opaline is a good place to go dancing and they have hot go go dancers.
-Union Square on Saturday morning is pretty.
-Chinatown rules, and don't forget to walk through Little Italy.
-Figure out the subway and then feel cool and superior when people ask for directions.
-Grand Central Station is beautiful.
-The Met, MoMA are great ways to spend a Sunday afternoon. And you can walk through Central Park right after. Gorgeous.
You will have so much fun.

I feel like I'm the bearer of bad tidings on this thread, but MoMA is also closed...til November, when they will raise the price of admission to 20 fucking dollars!!
