I meant it as a joke about the 'great kneecaps' of SGs etc etc, & was hoping some actual SG would pop in... yes, they are pretty lasses, I'm not debating that, that's not my point. I don't think I'm the first person to metion the number of discreet body parts that have been mentioned...

Correct/

Also correct, though I might have thought a Merovingian might know a thing or two about the bastards that stole their kingdom.

With the exception of the Lord of the Rings question, it's something called, you know, mythology.

Maybe I should tell that to my friends taking degrees in Fabrage Eggs.

If you're too weak to handle it, you could be man enough to say so.

Was Claudius actually a part of the conspiracy? I've never been clear on that. I was going to say Macro (can't remember if he was still around or not) or just "various and sundry Praetorians."

Pliny the Elder died at Pompeii during the Vesuvius eruption.

I just wanted to say that this is the first (and probably the last) time I've found a direct application for my degrees outside the classroom. Thank you SG!

I don't know what you typed

I told you exactly what I typed: "inflational theory" which is what you wrote. I also didn't claim the theory didn't exist, on the contrary, I said you were right and that all unified theories since the 1980s include it in some form. I merely stated that I was also right, because my answer was just as relevant.

I also have nothing to prove to anyone, and I hardly see how insulting you will improve my standing with your friends. Nor do I really care.

No, it's linear and tedious. It may relate to mythology but in a way even CS Lewis or Bullfinch would balk at... I don't think I'll ever need to know about the various swords in various Mythologies.

Also, the LOTR question is pretty week, they could have asked what Glamdring actually means, it's the Sindarin Eleven tounge for Foe Hammer, but more literally, Noise hammer, or din horde... something like that.

There is also, Orcrist, which is pretty easy to translate to Goblin Cleaver... There is also, the older sword Gurthang, which means something fairly foul, due to it's prefix, and was made by a dark elf, well before the TA.

Point 2, well they do, so chill.

Point 1, I appologize if I mistakenly typed that, and I can undstand where you would get no hits, later on, I state the word, so I have no idea why I had that mini-stroke. The GUT levels exist prior to the begining of expansion, and break symetry and fall apart as inflation starts, then later as expansion shifts into a big bang phase and begins to cool, you get baryogenesis which was discovered by Peter Gabriel, no actually... which allows matter to form cohesive bonds, and then float about and annihilate each other, until you have a great abundance of mater, and virtually no antimater, which has someone to do w/ K-Meson decay, and left handed neutrinos (which don't exist), and CP symetry problems.

Whether or not Claudius was a part of the conspiracy isn't clear, but he did force the man in question ---whose name rhymes with a common digestive ailment--- to retire from the Praetorian Guard and commit suicide. Macro was long dead.

1,3 & 5: Correct. 2, partially correct: Myelin is an insulating material around the trunk of a nerve cell. While most common in the brain, myelin-sheated neurons are found elsewhere in the body.

Why don't you have a journal entry so that I can respond and praise your knowledge of obscure bits of Roman trivia?
