Lets see, we jump from the 1980s to the 2000 or so....after about 15 minutes Optimus Prime dies...

After that, you're basically introduced to all the new characters, and the setting changes from Earth to Cybertron, and then the series is stuck in a rut for seasons 2, 3, 4...etc... wink

Lots of stuff blows up though, and characters actually die.

One of the songs from "Boogie Nights" is in it, too.

If you get the import version, there's cursing.

no. one of the songs from transformers is in boogie nights. specifically, the touch. there's a hilarious "making of the soundtrack" documentary on the dvd. seriously, jeff, you should come over and watch it sometime.

this dude is resposnible for the soundtrack:

vince dicola. awesome.

and there's cursing in the regular version. there always was. it was a big deal that somebody said "shit" at the time. i think i nearly peed myself in the theatre.

It was weird to see all the autobots getting killed when I was a kid. In the series they just kinda felt bad after a battle.

Anyway, just watch it. It's only time outa your life.

He mentions it in the Barbara Leaming biography. He referred to it as some thing he did for a Japanese toy company.

Explain Transformers: The Love.

I don't get it. I liked it as a kid but as an adult it doesn't do a damn thing for me. G.I. Joe? Fuck yeah. Transformers? Sweet fuck NO. If people are into the robots, why not stick with Robotech?

YES. Robotech is very awesome and still holds up today.

Transformers? What a pile of dog shit. The autobots spend the entire movie getting their ass kicked and then....i don't know what happens due to my turning it off to save my remaining braincells from suicide. I can't believe Orson Wells had a role in that movie...Eric Idle too for that matter. Uggg. Don't waste your time with it.

That pun was entirely too much for my brain to handle at this time of morning. skull

Anyway, Autobots get their asses kicked, some stupid pointless shit happens, then the unlikely punkass hero saves the day, even after the decepticons get made tougher by Orson-Welles-In-Planet-Sized-Robot-Form. Oh yeah, and some Transformers die, not the loser ones either, some of the important ones.
