Ok... so there is this clothing story where I live that is selling one particular shirt that is on display in the window that women have been protesting about...It has a picture of a bloodied hammer and underneath the caption reads "She was asking for it"

Just wanted to know what you thought...Should they take the shirt down or keep it up and keep selling it?

It's not even funny. It's just a stupid and a bad "joke". I would think less of anyone who wore it, not necessarily because I find it offensive (but I do) but because it shows they have a horrid sense of humor.

Did the store just want attention, or something? I can't imagine them being surprised by the reaction.

And where does his original question say that he thinks that this is a bad thing? Uh ... nowhere ...

Thread title: Bad taste or not?
Not: Can you believe that someone would do something in such bad taste?

There's the rub ... you never said anything either way and then got all defensive when people said it was evil ... what would you have said if people were all, "that's hilarious!!!"?

Just an observation ... welcome to SG!!

Jesus christ, he asked for our opinions about this, brought it to the attention of the community at large, did so in a respectful and tasteful manner, and was ATTEMPTING to stimulate productive discrouse.

And then someone like you has nothing better to do than to be an asshole to him. As if my night didn't already suck, I have to read your bullshit, jesus christ.

I love you Al.

It looked to me like he was trying to remain neutral on the issue as people often do when trying to get opinions on issues.

Don't worry about ruining dunx's night. I've already got that one covered.

I agree. Though as long as they have one that says "HE was asking for it" I'd say display away.
