Absolutely true!
But this really is apples and oranges (I hate cliches but in a hurry). The best rebel was Brando, hands down, and Peck, while having his share of rebels, could never
approach that. But Peck as a reliable actor obviously made more use of his talents than just about anybody (a Universal secretary said, howsoever, he "kissed like a piece of wood") Reality need not apply though - we have some fantastic actors, living and dead.

why did reagan have to go into politics? it should have been gregory peck.
I know he's dead, but, Peck dead is better than any Bush alive.
