Giovanni Ribisi is definitely one of the most exciting young actors out there. No matter what his role is in any movie, big or small when he is onscreen your eyes go right to him. He is just electrifying and even though hes got the sidekick role in Sky Captain & the World of Tomorrow you cant help but marvel at his work. It is amazing acting that becomes even more unbelievable when you find out that every actors scenes were shot in front of a bluescreen and that the enemies, most of the places...
dude I loved him as Cory Kupkis on "My Two Dads" I could so identify with that character. Saw the preview of "FLight of the Phoenix" yesterday. i t looks damn good.
GE: Just by some coincidence your first episode of Friends as Phoebes brother was on last night.
RIBISI: Well when I was first on Friends I was playing a different character.
The rerun of his first appearance on that show was on last night and he was hilarious even though he only had a few lines. I really like a lot of the things he's done.
I think i first saw him on the wonder years as the new kid. he is really terrific at acting. I think he has a crush on jude law. Thats the sexiest thing ive ever heard.

COREY!!! He was one of my favorite TV show characters of all time!!! He was the perfect "nice-guy, lovable loser".
The episode of "My Two Dads" where Nicole's cute blonde friend is trying to teach her out to kiss with Corey, and Nicole's dads walk in...brilliant!
"This isn't how it looks...actually, how DOES this look?"
I've loved him since x-files. It's so true, how your eyes go right to him. Very talented, and I'd like to see him get more lead roles. But not shit like Boiler Room. Bad movie.
I just saw Sky Captain. It was pretty fucking cool, if you think of it as a Metropolis or Buck Rogers (not the one with Gil Gerard or whatever his name is) late-30s sci-fi meets noir film. The was it's shot is really breathtaking, between the CG stuff and the way it's lit--SO cool. Not heavy on plot, but it isn't supposed to be. Very War of the Worlds or Metropolis.
He was simply amazing in Saving Private Ryan as the medic. The second time I saw that in the theater, I had to get up and stand in the lobby for a few minutes during his death scene. It was just too intense for me to watch again, knowing that the only one in the unit who had the slightest chance to save a dying man was the one with a bullet through him. Incedibly tragic and powerful...
