"Shaun of the Dead is the best movie i've seen in a lonnnng time. The funny parts are absolutely hysterical and the serious parts are heart thumping and tear jerking. Yet it's all put together so well it just works. Truly, a must see."

I saw it, it's good =)

...not QUITE as good as I expected, though, what with all the hype. But, deffinitly worth seeing.

You have to be a Romero Dead Trilogy fan to really enjoy it...

I think I was the only person in the theater who got the "We're coming to get you, Barbara!" joke.

An ad for it has been playing on the video at my work this month - I didn't really notice it until I got a pass for the movie after seeing a preview of Cellular.

Anyways, while I don't think it will ever me mistaken for <shoves stick up ass> Serious Cinema <removes stick> it's well worth seeing...

It's a great film and it's worth waiting to buy it on disc as they came up with loads of stuff to go with it including a commentary by the zombies themselves.
So yeah, buy it cos Pegg has said that he wants to do the ultimate british action movie next and he needs as much funding as he can get. wink

Fucking hilarious. The hardest I've laughed in a movie theater for a long time. Definitely will buy it on DVD - is it out in the US already??

It's on DVD in the UK.

I was a bit disappointed (turns to shit once they get to the pub) but I really liked it.

its not just ment to be a comady moive, its also a love story and a horror, thety do the humor at the beging but make it serious in the pub as it has to be serious,

the spaced TV series has that as well to make it more then just another comady, if it wasn't for the heart warming lovely bits in spaced i doupt it whould be so popular

The love story worked ok, but when you set it up that he doesn't blink when he finds out

**OH FUCK SPOLERS**

that he may have to kill his stepdad and then decide to put in a big sad scene where he has to kill his mom, it came off as just sloppy; either stick to doing straight gags or keep your moral logic consistant. Not to mention the fact that the pub was a terrible place to try to go (huge fucking windows) and put everyone in danger to even try, and that when they were trying to kill the bar owner it looked like something out of Stomp.

**ALL DONE***

But theyr'e really funny guys, and it's a decent romance. I'd do more praising if it hadn't already been done.

the killing of the bar owner is ace, to 'don't stop me now' by queen pure genious
but theygo to the pub because it has big doors and its where they always go when there in a crisis its were shaun feels safe, they tel you tha tin the film

i think the thing is its very british humour, and maybe your just not seeing it io the right context

No way dude: I liked it based on the trailer alone. I think it has critical weaknesses that for many people won't matter, but they do hurt the film.

Good movie. I love when they encounter their first zombie, the chick in the back yard.
