I was in a used CD store once and there wer about 2 or 3 whole shelves loaded with used copies of their album.

If those guys were smart, and made sure they had rights to that song, they'll be just fine. Everytime that show gets played on TV, even though it's reruns, they get broadcast royalties. With a show like as popular as "Friends", these guys will be ok.
