Backed beans and toast.

-- 1 Can of baked beans (35cents for the ghetto brand, 70 cents for the classy kind)
-- Bread (what ever you need figure 25 - 50 cents).

Cook the beans and add the bread.

Not only is it inexpensive, but there's oodles of protein in it.

Similar to something we called "Stuff" in the midwest.

a can of baked beans
instant mashed potato mix
a couple of cut up hot dogs

it's pretty cheap if you get the off brand or sale types of said items, plus it's surprisingly filling.

Mooch like there's no tommorrow. Eat as much as you can while at friends houses. Find cheap buffet spots, hit them when they are very busy, and fill your pockets to the brim. Avoid the soup though, it leaks.

Here's my little tip for hitting up Wendy's, for 99 cents you can potentially get enough food for like a week. I used to do this and it worked every time.

Go to Wendy's and order a "One Trip Salad Bar" thing -- it costs 99 cents.

They give you this little plate and put it on the typical fast food serving tray. Then go up to the salad bar and fill up the entire serving tray and you have this like moutain of food that you only paid 99 cents for.

One time the guy who worked there said something like "you can't do that". We just looked at him and went, well do you want it back? He looked puzzled and just walked away.

But yeah -- for 99 cents you can eat like a champ.
