When I heard that there was going to be a Devo party at Dante's the same day they performed downtown I knew that I had to go. My best friend Eli and I stayed up all night just to catch their show in the morning, which was so worth it. They were tighter than we could have ever imagined! Afterwards I took a nap and headed to Dante's. Much to my surprise the prolific Gerald V. Casale was quite approachable.

When we were hanging out I returned from the bar to find Gerry and some guy arguing about...

great interview. i suspect there won't be a lot of comments, because only the old-time fans are going to look at that name, Gerald V. Casale, and say "hey! that's Gerry from Devo!" tongue

cheers to both Gerry and Lux for a damn fine interview.
I'm already a huge fan, but it's great to hear the rants and the reality of what Devo was at its inception and how, now more than ever, we really need a band like Devo. the Pinks are ruining this place.

WOW! Nobody reads my mind like Gerald V Casale, Man I hop we get a new Devo album. The time is now, they were ahead of their time so they are very current now. Oh well I hear the out of print album are supposed to be rereleased sometime soon, so I guess that's a step in the right direction.

I would have hugged him for those comments about the Vehicle of Absolute Evil, the H2, as well.

If I had collision insurance for my car, it would be "prepare for ramming speed" every time I saw one. They have some sort of effect on my hormones or something, and when I see one it's just testosterone and rage.

i wonder if staff can arrange a reward of 1000 SG Army points for pictures of H2's vandalized with SG stickers... an extra 500 if someone writes "i have a small dick" on the thing too. biggrin

Man, what a guy. What a band. I'm proud to be a psychotic Devo fan! There is a Devo group for any interested. Look up D-E-V-O in groups!
