You know, if he'd have had less trouble if he'd hacked his wife to bits in California instead of (allegedly) attacking some woman in California. With the way the Peterson case looks - and after O.J. - it's pretty much open season on women out there.

Imagine if everyone applied as much effort in their own lives as they do taking interest in the misfortune of others. There wouldn't be a media circus if the public didn't eat that shit up. The public should *be* the rape shield. Maybe then marriages wouldn't fail %50 of the time. I feel nauseous being intrigued by this issue.

Yup, losers all around.

As Deep Throat said:

"Follow the money."

I think the ho' took the money personally.

Why else would anyone accuse someone of rape and then drop then not pursue?

Right or Wrong...

I think it takes credibility away from any other woman who accuses a star athlete of rape.

How about because an asshole defence team has torn her life apart and reduced what may have been a real case into a fucking joke?

Another guilty black man just because a little white girl says so...

Most of you out here already consider him guilty because he is rich and famous...

Well...
isn't that hypocritical?

I cannot make such a clear distinction.

Don't you love how I dealt the race card in this argument?

But that should be a pressing question with 400 years of genocide based on race in America!

American culture and law seems to be drifting deeper and deeper into unihibited mysogyny. Will women ever be treated as equals, rather than just fodder for sex and murder? It seems like lately murdering your wife is a more viable alternative for ending your marriage than divorce... I don't even want to get into the statement Kobe made by sodomizing a woman he met only a few hours before... frown

Koby's attorney actually specializes in defending professional athletes accused of rape. She pulled out all of the stops. She violated orders by the judge not to use the victim's name in court in pretrial, and did everything she could to put the victim on trial. She successfully filed motions to put every aspect of the victim's life on trial. The judge gave her free reign to characterize the victim in court as a woman who is a mentally deranged whore.

does anyone know what would happen if a non-famous person's lawyer did the same thing? i'm going to assume they would have gotten in a lot more shit than Kobe's did.

i'm tired of stars getting away with everything. society elevates these people to untouchable status with their own rules and their own ethics system. it's no wonder they go mad from the publicity and the insane money they make. how many stars that have been on trial actually end up serving jail time? we all know martha won't serve a day in jail. i think we all knew kobe would get away.

And so going through a civil suit will be cake, right? It is public record that Kate Faber has filed a civil suit. So she's not able to go through with it when she has nothing to gain except the possible satisfaction of Kobe in jail, but when large sums of money are within reach, all aboard/ full steam ahead.

Civil suits have a lower burden of proof than criminal suits, but allowable evidince is also more lax.

she was not raped. thats why they dropped the case. they didnt have any grounds to stand on. what was she doing in his hotel room late at night? having a tea party?
also, after someone has been raped they are in shock and usually dont have sex again for a long time.....until they recover(if possible). She was proved to have had sex with three other men shortly after her evening with Kolby Briant.. semen samples were taken from her undergarments.

gold digging vultures like her are must be stopped.
may this case make an example for other bad americans trying to strike it rich by ruining other peoples lives.
