this guy ordered a coffee in line ahead of me and said he didn't want too much foam, just a "floater". needless to say he was thoroughly ridiculed by the fiesty woman serving up the coffee... there's something inherantly wrong with calling anything but a turd a "flaoter"

I had one of those yesterday in my beer....didnt know if it was pulp from my key lime, or a worm from the same. It was a 50/50 chance, and I figured it was dead from the ethyl, so I drank it. Go for it man, you only live once

My friend almost choked when she took a drink of my Guinness, I had to pull the plastic thing out to prove it wasn't deadly.

Part of Orlando is still under a boil water alert after the hurricane, due to FECAL MATTER AND PARASITES IN THE WATER SUPPLY. I thought about this AFTER I drank 3 glasses of tap water at my local hipster indie video coffee shoppe. The girl working there said "I've been drinking it, and I'm ok." Thanks, bitch! mad

i thought you were talking about the tom lehrer song smile

Time was when an American about to go abroad would be warned by his friends or the guidebooks not to drink the water. But times have changed and now a foreigner coming to this country might be offered the following advice.

If you visit American city,
You will find it very pretty.
Just two things of which you must beware:
Don't drink the water and don't breathe the air.

Pollution, pollution,
They got smog and sewage and mud.
Turn on your tap and get hot and cold running crud.

See the halibuts and the sturgeons
Being wiped out by detergents.
Fish gotta swim and birds gotta fly,
But they don't last long if they try.

Pollution, pollution,
You can use the latest toothpaste,
And then rinse your mouth with industrial waste.

Just go out for a breath of air,
And you'll be ready for Medicare.
The city streets are really quite a thrill.
If the hoods don't get you, the monoxide will.

Pollution, pollution,
Wear a gas mask and a veil.
Then you can breathe, long as you don't inhale.

Lots of things there that you can drink,
But stay away from the kitchen sink.
The breakfast garbage that you throw in to the Bay,
They drink at lunch in San Jose.

So go to the city, see the crazy people there.
Like lambs to the slaughter,
They're drinking the water
And breathing <cough> the air.

Gastrointestinal disease is SO indie.

I thought this thread was about the song by Dave Matthews Band (feat. Alanis Morisette):

Come out come out
No use in hiding
Come now come now
Can you not see?
There's no place here
What were you expecting
Not room for both
Just room for me
So you will lay your arms down
Yes I will call this home
Away away
You have been banished
Your land is gone
And given me
And here I will spread my wings
Yes I will call this home
What's this you say
You feel a right to remain
Then stay and I will bury you
What's that you say
Your father's spirit still lives in this place
I will silence you
Here's the hitch
Your horse is leaving
Don't miss your boat
It's leaving now
And as you go I will spread my wings
Yes I will call this home
I have no time to justify to you
Fool you're blind, move aside for me
All I can say to you my new neighbor
Is you must move on or I will bury you
Now as I rest my feet by this fire
Those hands once warmed here
I have retired them
I can breathe my own air
I can sleep more soundly
Upon these poor souls
I'll build heaven and call it home
'Cause you're all dead now
I live with my justice
I live with my greedy need
I live with no mercy
I live with my frenzied feeding
I live with my hatred
I live with my jealousy
I live with the notion
That I don't need anyone but me
Don't drink the water
Don't drink the water
There's blood in the water
Don't drink the water
