My poetry book... And empty journal I got from High School from my best friend's mom. I wrote down EVERYTHING. Poetry that touched me at that time. I wish I had it still.

It has been missing for almost a year. I only assume it's lost forever....

Sometimes those kind of things find a way of being found. Don't give up all your hope!

When I was a kid, I had a set of chrome cap guns that looked like genuine six-shooters with white marbled handles, and they came with fringed leather holsters. I also had a little fringed skirt and vest to match.

I miss the kind of world in which cap guns could look like real guns, without the worry of teenage hoodlems holding up gas stations with them.

Sandy Lanes in Portland, the coolest bowling alley on the planet, it burned to the ground several years ago. I used to hang out there at least every other day. Uber cheap bowling, old school, no electronic scoring. Sometimes there were kick-ass psychobilly shows and punk shows there too. My favorite place in all of PDX, gone.

I had those too, sans the skirt and vest.

Edited: OK I had the skirt and vest too. My mom wanted another girl blush

The portion of downtown San Diego that now has a stadium in it.

I grew up in rural Florida. So the city has always intrigued me. Lived in San Diego for 12 years. Just before moving, they demolished a huge chunk. Those streets taught me photography. The streets where my car sat while I was in the Comicon. The streets and buildings are gone.

The original post on this thread reminded me of this. There were many people like you who had poured there lives into a business in a building they rented or owned. Too bad so sad.

One of the many reasons I left San Diego. The city is for the $. Not the people.

My Pet Monster and Super Mario Brothers. Man I miss watching cartoons in the morning ... I miss being a kid. smile

Most of all I miss my friends. After I got married and had a kid, everyone kinda left. Now I spend alot of time doing things I used to do with my friends alone. I used to go fishing down by the river with my buddies almost every day. We'de smoke tons of cigarettes and drink beer .... we caught so many fish and enjoyed so many fires late a night. Now I do this once a month and by myself. Still fun but not the same.

I sold a bunch of cds a few years ago and have been trying to replace them slowly. I did that cause I needed money and I have no idea why I didn't just ask for help.

The artifacts of my childhood are being slowly erased at my grandparents house. It is the place of my innocence. I was just there today for only like the 5th time in two years. I'm sorry I never come to visit, it kills me inside to see you get old. I know, I'm not a very good person, but I never claim to be. SOAP MOTHERFUCKING BOX!!!! wooooo! im done now.
