I want to share this story because I am curious if this has happened to anyone else.

I used to live in Seattle. One day after work, I took the bus downtown to walk back to my friends apartment. (Keep in mind that I am 6' 6" tall and weigh 215 pounds, at the time I was wearing jeans, a sweatshirt, dock martin boots and a stocking cap, I guess I sort of looked like a dock worker?) Anyway, I am walking down the sidewalk with my head down, watching the feet of the other people. I notice 2 sets of feet coming directly at me so I move to the side to avoid colliding with them, they both move in the same direction, so I move the other way, again they move with me. I stop and look up, standing not 12 inches away from me are 2 teenage girls looking rather surly. One of them jumps in my face and says "what's the matter fag boy? can't get around us? huh, fag boy? what's wrong?" I had to take a good look around to see who she was talking to. Again she starts with the "fag boy' comments and now her friend starts in on me too. I looked at her and said "what the fuck is your problem? I don't know you" They continued to hit me with a barrage of insults and would not let me pass. A crowd had started gathering around to see what was going on. I told them to fuck off and they finally walked awayafter about 5 minutes.
As I stood there shocked, i felt a rage start to build up inside me, the adrenaline rush was too much to handle. I picked up a big rock and ran around the block to cut them off at the next intersection. I envisioned smashing there faces with the rock. When I arrived at the next intersection, they had anticipated my arrival and had moved to the other side of the street. The girls then noticed that were about 10 of Seattles finest bike cops on the other corner of the intersection. They ran off down the street screaming rape and pointing at me. I was immediately surrounded by the Police and questioned for 5-10 minutes, they asked me what I had done wrong and if I solicited the girls for sex. I told the Police what happened and they told me to go home or I would go to jail. I inssisted that I had done nothing wrong and that I had witnesses to the event. Again I was threatened with jail. I demanded that the girls be arrested for assault. The police became angry with me and just told me to go home. I finally gave up and walked home, broken and hurt inside. When I made it to my friends house I just broke down and cried for like 10 minutes. It was one of the most HOrrible experiences in my life.

Have any other guys had an experience like this?

The next time someone asks me why I hate cops so much, this is one of many reasons why! mad

edited to clarify a few things...

I was 23, the girls were maybe 18 or 19. They were not "teasing" me, they were angry and looked like they really wanted to hurt me.

I know it was just as wrong of me to pick up a rock and follow them, please do not post here just to repremand me for picking up a rock.

I would never hurt anyone, I have never been in a fight or hit anyone in my life.

I was just trying share an experience in hopes that maybe other guys had experienced the same sort of thing.

I have several female friends who have been assaulted and attacked on the streets for no reason, they were knocked down, followed by naked masturbating perverts, etc.

Just curious how common this sort of thing is when the roles are reversed.

It isn't the fault of the cops, they have to investigate what they hear. For all the knew you COULD have been attacking those girls, and if they didn't bother to question you/be strict with you, you could have gotten away with something horrible.

And it's not a double standard that he couldn't hit them. They weren't physically threatning him, why would he need to hit anyone? People (both men and women) have to be able to control their anger and not take verbal confrontations to the level of physical confrontations.

That really sucks. One day, they will get raped and no one will believe them coz you probably aren't the first person they've done this too. It's really sad when the police have to believe the girls, even when it was probably pretty obvious you were innocent.

God, I should like a bitch. What I mean is, this world is pretty insane and girls should learn that they can't just say things like that coz it can lead to some horrible shit. He was lucky that he wasn't taken in for questioning and locked up overnight.

Here's what happened in the next town over from me....

Two girls that were about 13 I guess, met these dudes one night and tell them they are 18. The four walk into the park and get drunk and whatnot. The girls got so drunk that they passed out. The guys left them there passed out in the park and the next day when they came to they realized they were going to be in trouble with their parents. So, they tell their parents that the 2 dudes from the night before raped them, in order to get away with being out all night. The guys were both 18 year old high school seniors . They were arrested and charged with rape. They eventually proved they didn't rape anyone and were released.

That happened about 3 years ago, give or take.....

I'm not saying I think it's right that the girls claimed to be raped, but who the hell leaves passed out drink girls (or anyone, for that matter) in a park by themselves at night?!?!?!!?

Those girls sensed something that was really easy to fuck with. And no offense bro, but you picking up a rock to use to confront them with after the fact makes me glad that the cops were there.

dude thats awful. I had a similar incident when i was in florida, i actually was arrested but let go when a female cop came and talked to me.

Those girls were much worse than what i encountered by the sounds of it. Its really a shame that girls can get away with anything they want.

Dude.

I agree they were little bitches, but did you read what you typed? What if the cop hadn't been there? What if the girls hadn't been on the other side of the street?

If some little teenage punks harass you again, just shrug it off as "stupid teenage punks" and LET IT GO. They didn't touch you, so why chance an assault charge? shocked

Edit: tongue It took me so long to word this that Unnecessary beat me to it.

as a man, and one who has created social programs on college campuses trying to end the proliferation of 'rape culture' among men, i'm sad to tell you that there's just nothing you can do. legislation is in place, for good reason, to see to it that the rights of women are protected. unfortunately that does leave any man, essentially, defenseless against an allegation of rape or assault, no matter how unfounded it may be. I personally find many of these statutes every bit as offensive to women as they are dangerous to men, but thats just my opinion.

you made a mistake by pursuing them, but i'm sure that you know that. while i doubt that this will ever happen to you again, i'm sure you'll just walk away. as a man, you have to think about how you can protect yourself from accusations. chasing girls with a rock is not the best way to do that. i wish that Racer_X wasn't 100% correct. while the cops should probably have taken more time to liten to you, i'm sure that their primary interest was in diffusing the situation. i think that you can look at their telling you to just go home is an indication of how seriously they took the allegation. i'd say the threat of jail was more in response to your not cooperating with them than their perception of you as a potential rapist. no jail, no charges? let it go. hopefully somebody talked to the girls about what they did, but i doubt it. until we change our world, their rights will, out of necessity, supercede your own. at 6' 300lbs and 15% body fat, myself, i can tell you that your size doesn't do you any favors. just do what you must to remain in control of your body, your surroundings and your temper, and thats the best you'll be able to do.

The problem with the police is that: A. they did not arrest me for the alleged charge of rape. B. they did not question the girls at all C. they did not arrest the girls for the alleged charge of assault.

The only people who did anything wrong in this situation were the girls and the police.

I realize that hitting them with a rock would have been wrong and most likely I would not have done it, I just wanted them to actually be afraid. they just laughed.

You just wanted to threaten them? Scare them? How do you KNOW you wouldn't have ended up hurting them? You had a weapon in your hand. Why couldn't you just...walk away?

Again, the police were just doing their jobs. Sorry it sucked for you but I'd rather see them do their jobs than see people get harmed.

So you wanted to make them feel powerless when you were really the one that was made to feel that way by them? Hmmm...interesting....

I must clarify. I am not a violent person at all. I have never, ever hit a person, I have never been in a fight. I would not have actually hit them with the rock, it was a gut reaction, a stupid one, but still an instinctive reaction to defend myself. I just wanted to scare them.

It is easy to look at the situation and say that I was wrong, but you were not there. An adrenaline rush can be a dangerous thing.

Im glad that I did not hit them or would have gone to jail for sure.

Im just so confused why I was randomly attacked.

Had I been the cop, I'd have done the same thing. You're big, with a rock, chasing them. You show no signs of assault (and you didn't experience any... they just teased you).

He may have questioned the girls after he sent you home. He didn't believe the rape thing, as he didn't arrest you. He just wanted you to get away from them, since you were a big man with a rock showing anger. Hello?

It sucks that they teased you, but it sucks even more that you went after them. You need to learn to ignore people. They didn't push you or hit you or anything like that. Just chalk it up to a bad experience and move on.
