I want one of these SO bad:

I don't even LIKE dogs (I'm a cat person) but whenever I see a picture of an English Bulldog or there's one on TV I start FREAKING out. They are so damn cute. And they don't need to be taken on long walks or any of that normal dog excersise-crap, because they're fat and lazy. This is the kind of dog that would be happy to sit next to you on the couch and watch tv. But they still look badass so they're way better than stupid fluffy lap dogs. Someone buy me one please. I will love you forever.

Thank you.

I have a thing for English Bulldogs, too. I'm just not a Yorkie kind of girl. My husband has an English Bulldog in front of the Union Jack tattooed on his arm, and I named it "Nigel". Those puppies are super cute!

When I grow up and get a real house and a real job, I will then buy an English Buldog and I will name it something innocuous and we will go for walks and share ice cream and it will be wonderful.

French bulldogs are rad too, but pugs? They look like a cross between an owl and a wrinkled rat. And they're too small. When you walk down the street with a pug, people laugh at you. But with a bulldog-- women want you! men fear you! etc.

They are the best dogs ever. The end.

your just lucky the dog in the video is a Bulldog, if it was a pug it would be a different story! biggrin
i wouldn't say there was much of a difference in size between and overfed pug and bulldog biggrin

the guy across the street has an english bulldog.... it doesnt do shit
its funny/cute to look at AT FIRST but it doesnt play with you it barely even wants to walk - it looks like it should be on suicide watch

my friends parents raise pugs - they're a googly-eyed mess - drooling and flopping all over

do yourself a favor and get a boston terrier instead dignified, energetic, and it loves you capriciously

But the laziness is one of the reasons I LIKE them. They're great apartment dogs, don't need a yard, etc. I live in the city and one of the reasons I've never had a dog is because I know I'm too lazy to be taking one for walks all the time and playing fetch with it. I just want a cute dog that will sleep alot and sigh into his food bowl and reluctantly move over for me on the couch so we can watch tv.

That is a damn cool looking dog. It didn't know what they were called, but they're on my very short list of dogs I like.

But yeah, too active. English bulldogs are like a dog version of ME (temperment-wise).

English bulldogs are great. They should come with little black tophats.

Okay, you got me. I want a dog that acts exactly like a cat. My boy is allergic to cats, but not dogs. This is all starting to make sense... tongue

This may sound all wrong, but the larger breeds actually make better apartment dogs than small ones. Large dogs spend a much bigger part of the day sleeping - something like a Great Dane is perfect for an apartment, assuming you don't have a lot of precious China at tail-level. wink

And yeah, Boston Terriers are exactly not what you want. Very very high-energy.

Gotta agree here, but if you want a lazy dog to lay around on the sofa with, get a Lab, they hug back. Here's a pic of Zeke, he was the best, 115 lbs of Lab/Newfoundland mix, didn't hug much but he liked to hold hands.

I wish there was a breed of bull dog that stayed puppy like forever, that small and soft wrinkly skin (pugs fur and skin feels so stiff) and big paws = awwww!
I love bullie breeds, I HATE our city’s selective dog breed bull-shit though (insurance is mandatory for bull breeds, as well as a muzzle when walking, and we just barely missed the ban all together).

Every pure breed dog has it’s medical disadvantages though so it’s not like that is a real issue once you have decided you want a pure breed, but I know Ada is cool with one from a rescue and or pound, (possibly mixed heritage) so it’s all good.

I still think it is the perfect dog for you ^__^ and it has to be friends with my dogs, then we would have the most motley crew of city dogs ^_~ It would be like that old kibbles and bits commercial !ha!

Cuteness to end the rambling post

I heart Mr. Beefy.
