We have a couple male administrative assistants where I work... in fact one is married to a high level manager. It's funny to me but I'm glad we live somewhere that this is possible.

Nursing isn't a bad profession to get into these days. Nurses are in demand and starting salaries aren't half bad

The hours suck at first, but you can find a job in pretty much every city and the pay is pretty good (compared to non-degree work). I've been considering doing an LPN program after graduation as a "backup" to editing.

Nurses rock. I think more men should be nurses. I'm glad some of the "female only" stigma is going away.

I was a receptionist for about two weeks.

And I was pretty good at it too. You didn't get by me without an appointment. Sit your ass down and read a magazine. Someone will be with you shortly.

my REAL job is working as a licensing teacher in a daycare program at an elementary school. child care is definitely a female dominated field. and overall i think it's been a great experience. i've learned problem solving, how to think on my feet, and amazing parenting skills. unfortunately it is highly stressful and doesn't pay much for the ammount of responsibilty i have. so, i'm looking to get into something else.

i think i'd make a good nurse.

Used to be an Admin Assistant. All the AA's would have meetings at headquarters, I'd be the only guy.

See's jus came to Florida this past Christmas. Just for the season. Made my fricking day. Thank you Mrs. See's. smile

I work at a small fruit and flower store, now. By day though, I'm in the army, so an equal balance of estrogen and testosterone (At least that's what I keep telling myself).

I know a guy who did this for twelve years. He began staying home at 22 and since the divorce all he's qualified to do for work is bartending and working at the record store. I think he really enjoys these jobs, but it means he's broke all the time. You might want to reconsider since a huge gap in your employment can wreck your career even if you had a good one to begin with.

Or you can kill your wife if she ever threatens to leave. She's got insurance, right?
