Too hot to sleep?

What do you do?

I open every available window/door, strip down to my naughties, keep on turning the pillow and kick off my duvet (though I hate not having it on me).

I only ask, 'cause I'm hot as hell tonight and don't think I'll be nodding off anytime soon.

Tips?

It helps if you have any two windows to close all of them but 1. There for the air wont escape as it rushes in. remember. shit acts like a vacum. Good luck

Lay around naked and pretend I'm somewhere much more exotic. I may also eat chilled blueberries.

drink a 12 pack.

Strip, open all the windows, and put my feet in a bucket of cold water.

you could always soak your sheets in cold water, ring em out then put them back on your bed.....


or you could get an air conditioner...

Suffer and think of cooler nights.

Put your pillows and sheets in the freezer a couple hours before bedtime.I actually did this alot when i lived in a crappy apartment with no ac.



If that dosent help.......drink lots of booze.

what's air conditioning? I'm from the uk remember. global warming will have to be frying us in our beds before people pick up on those babys.

I find that two open windows creates a nice cross breaze.

drinks lots of water
wear a t-shirt (it will keep you cooler, than no shirt)

or cough medicine helps me

Oh and sleeping naked works for me.

Panties in the freezer is a nice trick.

For the less bold, maybe a fan with a bowl of ice water in front of it?

take a shower, dry off with a towel.

and use the moist towel as a blanket.

Open the window in your bedroom and a window somewhere opposite of it.

Put a fan blowing inward in the bedroom window and a fan blowing outward in the opposite window.

It will create a wonderful cross-breeze. This kept my apartment about ten degrees cooler than the outside temperature (if not more) and kept it comfortably cool at night.

They don't have window air conditioning units in the UK? They go for about $180 here, are easy to install, and keep me sane during the summer months.

Got myself one of those nice tower fans... excellent breeze! That and I sleep on top of the duvet. Know what you mean being a Englander myself. When will we come out the A/C darkages? Only recently do cars have them fitted as standard!

Cold shower and an ice pack in a towel under my neck.

Yes, cold shower. I have had to do it w few time. Everyone has a/c here in Florida. But when I lived in So.Cal. had to do the shower trick.
