Jeff Markey: We're at the Chateau Marmont, May 20th 2004 with Taryn Manning for SuicideGirls.

Taryn Manning: Oh, that's what this is for?

JM: Yeah, have you ever been?

TM: I haven't been there myself but a lot of my friends have gone there. It's really popular, huh?

JM: A million hits a month.

TM: [Laughs.] Crazy. Why is it so popular?

JM: A lot of hot little foxes doing their thing and saying what they want to say.

[Dog barks.]

TM: Whoa!

JM: What's his name?

TM: His name is Speakers.

That was kinda cool. It was almost like eavesdropping on some other person's conversation whiole you are at a restaurant.

What was all that nonsense about selling out to tv? I think it is funn y that when people get opportunities they are considered sell outs. Doesn't every artist want to be appreciated and heard? I would think that a congrats would be more appropriate and even a word of encouragement. Like hey that might be hot. Because it is good that tv is starting to use real musicians instead of some cookie cutter jingle machine... anyways

I really liked the way this interview was done. Very informal and it included all the little crap that normally get's tossed out.
Well done bub.

Of course every artist wants to be heard, but many want to maintain credibility at the same time. That's why some artists are regarded as sellouts. The money seemed more important than the music.

whatever Uh ok... I WANNA BE A SELLOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wink

Music rules and all but I like money a lot. Plus I have this like thing about wanting to be rich and famous. If someone isn't interested in the money they never had an offer

I would've liked a bit of an explanation at first. Took me a while to figure out who the hell she was.
