oddest thing happened to me today, i met this girl a year back, fifteen years old, pretty young but very bright.
i make animations for a website that helps students with their homework, she's in our demographic that's how i met her, i'm not involved with her in any way we just have good talks so we still talk a lot after i'm done with the site.

anyway i always knew she was pretty smart but neither of us really thought about it untill today we were talking about intelligence and stuff.
as a joke we did the preliminary tests for Mensa (some smart folks organisation that only admits the top 2% of humanity).
tough test, the result was that i'm above averagely intelligent but not smart enough to make in mensa, always a nice thing to hear, the intelligent thing anyway.
but the girl, she breezes through the test in under ten minutes and get's a response that tells her she's probably easily smart enough to join mensa along with a invitation for a official monitored test.

i thought it was pretty amazing, we just did the test as a joke and she just rips through it and ends up finding out she's probably in the top 2% of the world and of gifted level iq.

Ever since my mom told me she's a member of Mensa, I've lost all respect for the organization. tongue

BTW, do you have a link for the test? I think it would be interesting to try.

we did a test on paper that was supposed to be a indication if you even had to bother with doing the supervised test.
i'm not that impressed with mensa themselfs really but i was just very suprised at how she breezed through the thing without effort, i did the test myself and it was pretty hard.

Heh, Mensa. What a disgrace to humanity.

Joining that fucktard group is about three things below the last thing on my to-do list.

It's prety common. On Craigslist it's practically a required greeting. Be careful with it. Derivations of "retard" don't go off without a bit of rebuke

Mensa has no sense of fun.

Maybe I should form a DiMensa group...
