Athlete, skateboarder, entrepreneur, surfer and now consummate filmmaker. Stacy Peralta has beaten the sophomore slump with his documentary about the history of surfing, Riding Giants.

Peralta has always been into underground cultures. He helped begat skateboarding back in the day, then documented the culture in his award winning documentary Dogtown and Z-Boys. Now hes turned his all seeing eye towards one of his other passions, surfing. Riding Giants has already garnered acclaim when it opened...

Stacy Peralta is a revolutionary and American icon. Anyone who skates in America
today should say a quick thanks to this guy. I'm sure his new film won't disappoint.

Animal Chin was one of my favorite movies back in the day. Peralta rocks something fierce...I have thought so highly of the man for years and years...

Note: Riding Giants had a screening at the Hollywood theatre here in PDX and they had to turn people away cause the house was so packed!
