Ooooooh, I LOVE these!!! Wasn't there one where this kid dug up a thumb? Or something? And the one with the girl standing on the grave and getting grabbed!! Omg, I need these again!!

Anyone read "The Tailypo: A Ghost Story"? This one.... oh man, this gave me nightmares for weeks!!

Sooooooooo good.

Was there a story in one of those books about a girl with a green ribbon around her neck? She would never take the ribbon off, ever and when she eventually did, it turned out that she had the ribbon around her neck because her head wasn't really attatched?

I could be confused. That happens a lot.

I was addicted to those books. But there was one story about (I think) a bunch of frat pledges who had to go into this haunted house....they had to walk up the stairs with candles, and the candles kept going out once they got to the attic. So finally everyone went upstairs to investigate, and they found the boys DEAD. And ever since then, on the anniversary, one of them has gone insane.

And the guy telling the story reveals he is the LAST ONE LEFT. That was a pretty huge mindfuck for me at twelve.

That was in another book. I remember this, because the girl's name was Jenny and her boyfriend (who eventually married her, and had always pestered her about the ribbon) was Alfred. He was the one who untied the ribbon!

I remember this because my best friend growing up was a girl named Jenny, and we always used to read the story together and giggle at the last line: "And Jenny's head fell off".

Wow, that was a long post.

I had to go looking for the book on amazon, and I found the one I was referring to. It was the same author. It's In a Dark, Dark Room and other Scary Stories. smile
