so I'm a little behind on the batman thread so I started THIS one!!!

pretty much EVERYSINGLE girl actress they have picked for any comicbook movie has been shit, with maybe the exception of uma



but I was just musing with the idea of how fricken cool it would be if there was all the ladies; poison ivy, catwoam, AND harley quinn in one movie!!!




I would pee my pants if they pulled it off, at the level of uma or even the cartoons....man!!
I'm surprised it hasn't been done.....

also...if Kirsten Dunst had never been in spiderman (which she shouldn't have...) she might have been a good harely?

ah...man I love these girls, honeslty they're just so great and have such good histories and character....*sigh* and someday Bluemonday will be a movie.....and I don't know if I'd be happy about it.

psh. I think they should stick more closely to the Frank Miller original Year One idea than I'm sure they will. And I REALLLLLY think a Dark Knight Returns movie that stuck to the comic would make anybody who actually knew something about comics shit their pants atleast 3 times before breakfast. I just pray to god it doesnt go in the Catwoman direction. Jesus christ. HEY DUDE!!!! Lets fuck up MORE DC movies man!!!!! IT'LL BE THE SHIZZLE DIZZLE FER RIZZLE!!!!! Whoever is in charge of that shit should be taken out back and have their thumbs cut off by the femers that were recently removed from their legs via rectum.

RAWR!!! that would be so great...infact have superman, supergirl, and batman....batman just wips on superman, and then like supergirl goes to catwoman or someshit....maybe poison ivy for some ilixor to sway batman and then there's this insane love triangle....and somehow the joker is involved and stuff and gawd I'm turning into one of these girls!

Yeah, they seriously NEED to do The Dark Knight Returns (the first one). And they need to do it the comic way. Frank Miller stories to me seem like they are aching for translation, accurate translation. Aronofsky(like Beastie_Boy said)'s name has been thrown out there a few times, and those cut away shots to the news/talk show are rather Requiem-esque. Not to pigeon-hole the guy, though...

The only thing I see as being any problem is the physical size of the characters. Such contrasts with size, and the gritty quality deserves to be done right, to be done well at all.

Why in Bobs name would you want Aronofsky?!?! Did you ever read his script for Batman:Year One when he was briefly attached to the project?! Sorry, but Aronofsky would make Joel Schumaker's movies look like a frickin superhero Bible.

Dead serious outtake from the Aronofsky script (not exact, but hey-I'm not a screenwriter): Bruce Wayne stands up in his bat suit, looks at Alfred (who, in Aronofsky's script set in the 70s, is a black man with an afro and penchant for making scratch records in his spare time) and asks him "How do I look, Alfred?" "Slammin', Bruce, slammin." Then, just like with every other scene transition, Commish Gordon has a beer and cheats on his wife.

YES!!! i would love to see this adapted. the batman films so far just haven't been dark enough, and i'm not sure an all-star cast in batman begins is going to allow for a truly faithful rendering either.

Speaking of which...did anyone know that Dave McKean has been taking a stab at directing? Personally I don't know if he'd be able to do the batman thing quite right (I haven't seen much of his film work), but visually there's no question that it would be spot on.

And as for Juliette Lewis as Harley...I'm stickin' to my guns on this one. You guys are wrong, she would be perfect.
