He's a friend of ours

Do you know anyone or suspect someone you know of being in the Mafia? Anyone you know that works a really basic job, but drives a car they couldn't possibly afford? Any of your friends make "a little money on the side" with gambling? Anyone you know wear jogging suits all the time?

When I was in the 5th grade, my friend Julie's grandfather got arrested because they found 5 bodies in an illegal casino in the basement of his soda shop. I mean, who has a soda shop in 1987?

I was distantly related to someone I always had to call Uncle Sonny. My father and grandmother also called him Uncle.

This is Queens, afterall.

I live in Ohio. Everyone drives Hondas or Hyundais. They wear jogging suits to run. And there's an over-abundance of Polish and/or German blooded people running about.

There is no mob here.

Haven't you ever seen like any mob movie? Lot's of people own soda shops. Wait a second...I'm not sure I made much of a point with that.

I too live in South Philly and I have a friend whose father was a trigger man before he died surprisingly enough from cancer. I also know a guy who is connected but that connection is actually from SJ where I grew up.

what about youngstown?

I used to live in South Philly. At first it was cool cuz I kinda look Italian. Then they found out I was Greek-a-Rican. We moved shortly thereafter. I guess the Greek part was OK, but the Rican part was a problem. Oh well, I was sick of hearing "Hey Joey" 80 times a day anyway.
