If she has a gynecologist, she should contact him/her. If not, try Planned Parenthood. Good luck.

I've had friends go through this before. In Califonia you can get the pill WITHOUT a dr.'s prescription. Call your local pharmacy and ask if they participate or can refer you to a pharmacy that does. If you don't have any luck with that, the above link will help you, although it looks like they might charge a fee. Good luck to you and your gf.

I guess I should point out to you that there's every chance that she's not pregnant. When I was 19 I experienced no less than six broken condoms within just a few months and never got knocked up. At that point I decided to start taking the pill as a back-up measure. She probably should use EC, which may make her sick, so plan to help her out for a few days. She should then see about some kind of back-up method of her own, whether it be the pill or something else if she can't take the hormones.

you can get a prescription from an online doctor.... oyu type in her health info and your crditcard # and they send a prescript to your pharmacy

BTW :
George Bush is pushing for a reappointment of Dr. David Hager :
Dr. David Hager to the FDA Reproductive Health Drugs Advisory Committee.

"Dr. Hager's ideological agenda compromises the scientific integrity of the FDA," PPFA National Medical Committee Chairman and University of Wisconsin-Madison Associate Professor of Pediatrics Dr. Scott Spear said. "Americans rely on the FDA as a trusted and objective safeguard. President Bush has betrayed the public trust by installing a biased ideologue in a key scientific role. When science comes second, public health suffers. Dr. Hager co-authored a book that recommends scriptural passages and prayers for problems like headaches and premenstrual syndrome, and he is widely known to be opposed to prescribing contraceptives for unmarried women. He also played a prominent role in the creation of a petition designed to pressure the FDA into rescinding its approval of mifepristone."

with this guy around you ladies will soon have to douche with bleach to prevent fertilization

depends on her cycle.. if she wasn't producing eggs during that time you did it, you shouldn't have too much to worry about. buy a pregnancy test anyway, though.

Yeah, was ovulating? When was her last period? Or do have some sort of cosmic knowledge that tells you the second a woman becomes pregnant?
I believe you can get the morning after pill over the counter now, just go to your local pharmacy and talk to the pharmacist (actually, she needs to go but you should go with her).

My lame attempts at humor in no way mean to demean the seriousness of your situation ... I've been there myself a number of times.

You are being overly paranoid, but I guess paranoia is better than apathy.

Do what those people up there said, and good luck.

You can get the morning after pill at any Pharmacy it doesn't require a prescription Your lucky california is one of the few states that allows this. You have to pay out of the pocket. And they give you a quick info session on what the pill does and what she should expect. Such as nausea etc.

Don't panic. You figure, a lot of people who are trying to get pregnant take a long time. Go for the morning after pill. It should keep her from ovulating if she hasn't already, and probably can prevent implantation if fertilization did occur.

What's next?

Be a man and take responsibility for your actions. If your not ready for the responsibility of raising a child you shouldn't be having sex. Don't go pushing her towards the morning after pill or abortion, if she doesn't want that, just because your not ready to be a father.

I'm all for pro-choice but it pains me to see people use that choice to shirk the responsibilities of there actions.

boy oh boy, i did this not too long ago. sure as fuck sucks, but i did the research, and there is a relatively small window that you got to hit to get her pregnant. fidn out what her schedule is and you can find and ovulation calculator online to get an idea. morning after pill is definately a nice option, i just didnt take that option, because, i felt odd telling her what do do. i lucked out, she had her period only a few days earlier than the condom breaking incident (we used spermicidal rubber, too). but again, you cant always count on ovulation cycle thing, not everyone's body works like clockwork. there is reason for concern, but until you get the test results, dont freak yourself out. but we had to wait 2 weeks for an accurate result, or at least thats what she told me. shitty two weeks it was

First of none of us are freaking out , I am behind her %100 but saying that "if you are not ready for a kid dont have sex" is the lamest thing I heard. Shit happens and we both dont want a kid , I would think the responsible thing to do at this moment is NOT to have a kid i cant raise successfully.

She can't take a pregnancy test for at least another 3 weeks, she won't get accurate results. I think the earliest you can take a pregnancy test is 4 or 5 days before you are supposed to get your period.
If she does decide to take the morning after pill she needs to do it soon, it only works if you take it within 72 hours of the sex.
If she wants to wait and take the pregnancy test and it comes back positive then she will have to take the abortion pill or have an abortion. *If that's what she chooses.*
Good luck.

As I understand it, the morning after pill is not a means of aborting a fetus, not in ANY way.

I could be wrong though, but like I said, that's as I understand it.
