yeah I really like how all the little ducks in the back row have the same light color spot, are standing the same way and have the same look on their faces.

Now replace the sewer with a wood-chipper, and you've got comedy gold!

Christ, those pics are fucking horrible. They could have grown into full sized ducks and been eaten by carnivores like myself.

Take a look at the picture for more than about 5 seconds and you can tell its obviously been run through Photoshop.

The "ducklings" aren't really there, folks. Please.

Hmmm ... I don't see ANY of them in the reflection of the chrome car bumper

they're gonna spawn mutant albino ducks that will grow huge and totally fuck up the sewer alligator's ecosystem and we'll have another endangered species on our hands and all the peta kids are gonna run around yelling to save the giant seweralligators and print a gazillion pamphlets causing the rainforest to be completely chopped down for the papermills and the world's gonna end oh my god.

Yep. looks fake to me. Everyone, settle down, some jerkoff probably thought it would be funny to take some pictures of the sidewalk and paste some ducks in. In the second image you can't see the ducks reflection in the bumper, and the mother ducks foot has a random dark line around it.

obviously. as a photoshop *ahem* expert, it seems pretty obvious the photos are touched up. the definiton on the ducks/chicks tail feathers on pic 3 don't match, there's a thin line round the big duck at all times, the shadows don't always match, the grate is too shiny and the ducks too dull for them to have the same light source, etc.

although, i have to admit, i do like a bit of bad taste here or there, and i did laugh at the pic. not everyone has the same sense of humour, but how boring would the boards be if we all liked *nice* jokes.

and before i get flamed for being sick and laughing at animal cruelty, i abhor all forms of animal cruelty - pics like that are funny (to me) for the utter shock value, and the extent to which people are willing to push the comic envelope. i am not laughing at ducks dying. period.

Anecdote time, gather round children:

Two weeks ago, while on the job, a struggling dragonfly strugggled to stay aloft in the brisk breeze. I stuck out my hand and he/she latched on to shelter out the storm. Being all, "no creature is too small for my compassion", I took him in and kept him safe for a while. A surigate dragonfly father for about two hours of my life. I had to save the little dragonfly from about ten people who wanted to squish him. At the end of the day I found a place where I thought he would be safe and I set him down to go on with the rest of his natural life.
Beautiful isn't it, compassion for all of natures little creatures. That's not the end of the story however children. You see the very next day I had to get in my car and drive about 20 miles into town, about a half of an hour drive. I think I must have killed about two hundred dragonflies on that trip.

There is a moral in there somewhere that relates to this duckling incident. Something about a bigger picture I think.

agreed about the bigger picture. after all, some ducks are hatemongers and deserve to die...
